Social Challenges

We’ve all been in isolation for months. Those months are beginning to feel like years. There’s one thing that’s kept us busy and communicating with the world and that’s social media. Thank god for social media – seriously. Back in 2020, we covered everything you need to know about social media platforms.

We even covered some of the challenges that went on throughout the year, but not with great depth. Since we’re now well into the new year, new me phase of 2021, let’s cover some new ways that you can continue to challenge yourself. I’ll also be covering some tips that will hopefully help your challenges go viral.

Everything You Need To Know About Social #Challenges In 2021

I think it’s best if we kick things off with some tips and tricks for getting your challenges to go viral. Then I’ll cover the most popular challenges worth trying to gain more exposure in 2021. The first thing that you need to know about these social media challenges is that people love them.

In fact, many people are obsessed with watching these challenges. Consumers will scroll for days searching challenge related hashtags for the ultimate clips. The big question here is, what makes a challenge an ultimate clip and good enough to go viral?

Keeping It Creative + Organic

The challenges that end up going viral are almost always those that are most creative with the most natural feel to them. If you’re having trouble understanding this, then you need to head straight to Instagram or TikTok to start watching challenges. This is the number one suggestion that I have for you today. If you can nail this, then you’re halfway there. If not, then you’re going to have a hard time getting there.

Build Your Brand With The Challenge

While your brand may not be Oceanspray or Pepsi, if you’re camming on Camsoda, then it’s as good of a reason as any to try and build your brand via a challenge. Many brands take part in these in order to ride the organic trend wave.

They’re looking to hop on the tidal wave to increase their reach greater than ever before. Whatever your marketing goals may be, make sure they include challenges in order to engage with consumers. You’ll make more money in the long run if you do, trust me.

Doing Good Things, Leads To Good Reach

Keep your challenges clean and good. The idea here is to have some plain old good fun and chances are, if you’re authentic and genuine, you’ll get some good reach from your efforts. There’s no need to get too sexy here with these challenges either. Unless that’s part of it. If not, don’t try too hard, just do it.

Instagram & TikTok Challenges Worth Trying

Like I said, there are a ton of different challenges that you can do in order to grow your brand socially. This is not a complete list of challenges, but enough to give you some insight and ideas. Whatever you do, definitely give one or two of these a try. If done right, it can do wonders for your brand and reach overall.

#FliptheSwitch

Inspiration for this challenge stems from Drake’s song, “Nonstop,” which contains the lyrics, “I just flipped the switch.”  Next thing you know, people on TikTok and Instagram started swapping clothes, poses, attitudes, and just about everything else about one another. J-Lo and A-Rod mastered this one and it went viral pretty quickly.

#DontRushChallenge

The don’t rush challenge is all about upgrading your look. It’s a challenge which typically features people waving makeup brushes like wands and then displaying themselves instantly upgraded with better looks. This is good, clean fun and popular enough for even some police officers from New Orleans to participate.

#BinIsolationOuting

I love this challenge. The #BinIsolationOuting challenge is pretty easy and fun. The concept here is, that you’re more likely to take the trash out to the curb than leave your house, so why not dress up for the occasion.

Residents all over are taking regular tasks and making them fun, sometimes even outrageous. There’s a Facebook Group with more than a million members who love dressing up like dinosaurs, superheroes, and everything else under the sun to take the trash to the curb.

#TrickShot

This might be my favorite challenge of all time. People are posting on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram and they’re showing off their trickshots. You’ve seen them. Yes, I’m talking about those videos displaying ping-Pongs bouncing off pots and pans. People have built some weird, yet amazing and super complex courses where they’ve managed to record them successfully completing them with balls of all kinds. Make your own course, record yourself completing it and celebrate the victory for the world to see.

There are many other challenges for you to check out like #BetweenArtandQuarantine, #YourFirstMoveIsTheirLastMove, #PillowChallenge, #GameFaceChallenge, #DalgonaCoffeeChallenge, #DrawingChallenge, #ToiletPaperChallenge and many more. Spend time on TikTok or Instagram and you’ll come across many of these in a matter of seconds.

Challenges To Steer Clear From

Okay, so this is pretty important and could possibly save your life. There are many challenges that people are doing which are down right deadly. For the record, doing the “Benadryl challenge” or the “rooftopping” challenge is just plain stupid. It might cost you your life.

Stay away from any challenges that are dangerous to your health and safety. There’s nothing cool about them and they’re not going to help boost your stardom or do anything longterm for you, especially if you die. Don’t don’t anything stupid.

Wrapping Things Up

You’ve got plenty of challenges to try out, so get going and grow your social reach. There’s no better time than now to do this. Whether you’re looking to build your brand as a cam model or perhaps something more, there’s never been a better time than now! Reach out to us with any questions or concerns that you might have. Good luck!
